Back in April, Timber Timbre told us about the dark imagery that is so often associated with the band, one that they admit they don’t do much to dispel. It was also noted that with the title of their new album, Creep On Creepin’ On, they were attempting a wink and nod to that very perception.

Their new video for “Black Water” walks both of those lines; it’s full of fuzzy, sometimes indiscernible imagery that’s both creepy and sort of cute, in ways a luck dragon is. It was directed by Toronto’s Exploding Motor Car, the experimental audio-visual crew who have done videos for Ohbijou and DD/MM/YYYY, among others, and it’s a strange and intriguing clip using puppetry and casts, and its the perfect companion to the song—and a band—of the same strange and intriguing nature.
