Listen to a song from Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong's teenage son's punk band

This probably comes as little surprise—the 16-year-old son of Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong is in a punk band.

Joey Armstrong is the drummer for Emily’s Army, a four-piece that mirrors its age—youthful, simple, and fun, and Spin has debuted a track from their upcoming album Don’t Be A Dick (YES).

Perhaps unsurprisingly again, Billie Joe helped the band record the album, and with a producer credit, will be releasing it on June 14 via his own Adeline Records, a label that houses the US release for bands like Vancouver’s own Living With Lions.
