Vampire Weekend lead singer Ezra Koenig has recorded a cover (below) of Paul Simon’s 1972 solo song “Papa Hobo” for the upcoming film Ceremony, which was directed by Max Winkler and stars Uma Thurman.

It was thought that Koenigh’s band had taken parts of Simon’s 1986 album Graceland and used it for their own, but in an interview with Vanity Fair, the singer/songwriter said: “In a way, we were on the same pursuit, but I don’t think [they]’re lifting from me, and anyway, [they]’re welcome to it, because everybody’s lifting all the time. That’s the way music grows and is shaped.”
