Following up 2008’s digital-only EP The Lakes of Alberta, Tokyo Police Club keyboardist Graham Wright has announced the release of a full-length debut. Titled Shirts vs. Skins, the album is due out on June 28 via File Under Music.

According to a press release issued today, the album was recorded at Toronto’s Chemical Sound studio and is the first in a planned trilogy. Likely to resemble the scaled-down acoustics of his previous solo work as opposed to the elaborate pop of his full-time work in the Police Club, Shirts vs. Skins is said to capture “the excitement of the moment when you step out on your own and boldly face the future.” Listen to “Medicine Hat” from his last EP below.
