For those who have tickets to one of the many upcoming Go! Team gigs this year, be sure to hang on to your stubs and commit as many exciting moments of their live set to your permanent memory as it appears they are calling it a day.

“We all got married in a joint ceremony. The six of us, because it’s even boys and girls,” vocalist Ninja tells AUX. “This is a modern decade and now we’re getting divorced and it’s as simple as that really. We’re all fighting over a prenup, so that’s where we’re at right now. Sorting out who’s going to get what. Lawyers are battling it out.”

“We just got married too quick, really. Always marry for love,” adds guitarist Ian Parton, who formed the band in the early 2000s before the release of their debut LP Thunder, Lightning, Strike, which was nominated for a Mercury Prize.

The band’s latest record Rolling Blackouts came out this past January and since releasing it, they’ve been touring non-stop overseas and are now making their way across North America, but according to Ninja, “None of us are wearing our rings anymore.”
