Read Thom Yorke's replies to two Radiohead fan letters from the nineties

Letters of Note, a website that compiles and shares scans/photos/etc. of correspondence from interesting figures or just interesting stories, has posted two notes from Radiohead’s Thom Yorke in reply to letters from fans. They’re adorable. We never pictured Yorke using exclamation marks so freely!

The first one was hand-written from the studio in 1994 as the band was recording the Bends (and, yep, we’re totally listening to it now). Yorke notes the “weird ride cymbal” drummer Phil Selway is playing on “Nice Dream.” In the second, typed out in 1996, the letter is shorter but in it Yorke sympathizes with a fan named Melissa and her small-town suffocation. So cute.
