And here we thought he was just moved by the music.

Thom Yorke’s face has ended up in yet another weird situation.

It’s out of line to say Radiohead frontman Thom York is an… interesting looking dude. What we don’t consider, however, is how he may look to people unaware of his superstar status.

One of Yorke’s most well-known promo photos, in which he looks as though he hasn’t slept for days, is high as balls or has just been crying (or possibly all three) has recently been used on the cover of an Iranian book about sexual and marital problems as well a Russian ad for medication that promises to cure “insomnia, fatigue, skin problems, cold, attention deficit disorder, and headaches.”

But according to a Christian group, those are the least of Thom’s problems: if a new social media post by The New Generation For God is to be believed, Radiohead’s singer is a drug-abusing, Godless, idol-worshiping atheist enslaved by pornography and witchcraft.

If you’re guessing that the NGG is an intense organization, well, kudos. On its website, which features a header photo depicting a futuristic city replete with flying cars and suggestion to call them “dangerous people” because they are “unmasking the lie that God is dead,” the group describes its aim to “return the supernatural power of God to the streets” and “radically help and bless all prostitute, alcoholic, transvestite, homosexual, lesbian, and drug addict with the Supernatural Love of Jesus”.

We’re not too sure how one ‘radically’ helps someone, but it doesn’t sound particularly pleasant.

Friendly suggestion to Thom: next time Radiohead tours NGG’s strongholds of Brazil and Russia, he should keep his eyes extra-open.
