Ottawa Bluesfest lineup revealed

The preliminary lineup for this year’s Ottawa Bluesfest has been announced and it includes a performance by ’90 alternative rock staple Soundgarden who reunited last year and are currently working on a new studio album.

Other big acts named for the event taking place July 5-17 on the grounds of the Canadian War Museum include Death Cab For Cutie, The Black Keys, My Morning Jacket, The Tragically Hip, Death From Above 1979, The Flaming Lips, A Perfect Circle, Girl Talk and Ben Harper.

The Roots, Peter Frampton, John Fogerty, Buddy Guy, Steve Miller, Huey Lewis and the News, Jennifer Hudson, Leon Russell, Rise Against, Neon Indian, Mother Mother, Diamond Rings, Dropkick Murphys, Tegan & Sara, M. Ward, Bootsy Collins, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and Cage the Elephant will also perform.
