Listen to the new Panda Bear album: Tomboy

Hey, Monday. Thanks for the new Panda Bear album! The long-awaited follow-up to Noah Lennox’s excellent 2007 album Person Pitch comes out next Tuesday, but right now, NPR has Tomboy up for your streaming pleasure.

There’s still a strong Brian Wilson influence in these shiny, synthesized bedroom bleats, but Tomboy sounds a bit darker than previous work, an element that is only really brought out when listening to the whole thing as opposed to the singles that have been tauntingly trickling out for the past year.
