OK Go have officially released “The Greatest Song I’ve Ever Heard,” thanks to their collaboration with documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock who asked the band to pen the theme to his upcoming POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold.

According to Rolling Stone, the director wanted something “anthemic, something mid-tempo [and] something that could actually be called the greatest song ever sold,” and after singing his praises for last year’s “This Too Shall Pass,” he chose the band’s musical nod to Dylan’s 1965 plugged-in appearance at the Newport Folk Festival.

But you can rest assured that the track remains narcissism-free thanks to bassist/vocalist Tim Nordwind’s explanation that the song is “about someone freaking out about the greatest song, rather than trying to be the greatest song,” and went on to praise lead singer Damien Kulash for “being really smart to do it that way.”
