Death Cab for Cutie announce expanded North American tour with Frightened Rabbit

Death Cab for Cutie already had a string of shows lined up across North American to coincide with the release of their (so far pretty promising sounding) new album Codes and Keys, beginning with a stop in Toronto on May 18, and dates in Edmonton and Calgary on the 24 and 25.

Today the band announced more summer dates, in bigger venues, and revealed that supporting act Snow Patrol Frightened Rabbit will be joining them. The previously announced dates will be with one of Jenny and Johnny, Bright Eyes, or the Head and the Heart.

The new dates will take place in large theatres, including the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto on July 29 and the Osheaga Festival in Montreal on the 31. No dates for further east, and no additional western Canadian dates were announced. The full tour dates are below. [via Pitchfork]
