The Strokes' new video for "Under Cover of Darkness"

It’s only after watching The Strokes’ new music video for “Under Cover of Darkness” (below) and then viewing one of their older videos for a track like “Someday” that we can truly see how much has changed since the band formed in the late ’90s. Obviously the music is different, but this video provides us with our first glimpse of the mature Strokes. They’re not the adorable 20-somethings in ripped jeans and Chuck’s getting plastered before and after every show, rather a rock band who’ve reformed after some turmoil trying to wedge themselves back into the alternative rock circuit. We’ll let you know if they succeed when their new album, (Angles), drops on March 22.
