The Strokes might start work on a new album next month

Hey look! Strokes news! It must be a day of the week!

In a recent interview with XFM, Strokes bassist Nikolai Fraiture said the band would start writing new material when they have some downtime next month. Prefix is very quick to point out that this could be an attempt to hastily fulfill one last contractually obligated release before calling it quits. Angles was released just earlier this week though so far, the majority of the fanfare happened in the weeks leading up.
