Name: PS I Love You
From: Kingston, Ontario
Playing: A LOT: March 15, March 16, March 17 (x2), March 18 (x3), March 19.

The anthemic indie duo made shoegaze soar on their stellar 2010 debut, Meet Me At the Muster Station. Currently running with the momentum of critical acclaim to play, at present count, eight SXSW shows in the midst of their North American tour with Diamond Rings. Their first show is at tonight, Tuesday, March 15, at the Pitchfork Showcase.

1.) AUX: What is your SXSW survival plan?

Singer/guitarist Paul Saulnier: I’m going to try to be just a little bit drunk at all times. Just a little bit.

2.) Who or what are you most looking forward to seeing?

I don’t even know if I’ll have time to see any shows. It’s kind of a bummer. Is Crucial Taunt playing?

3.) If you’ve been to SXSW before, tell us your most memorable moment. If you haven’t, what is the most intriguing thing about it to you?

I’ve never been. From what I’ve heard it’s a non stop shit-show party. People keep warning me about how things are going to get completely out of control and crazy at all times. I think I can handle it though.

4.) What do you dislike most about SXSW/what makes you want to just go home?

I don’t know yet.

5.) Out of the approximately one billion bands playing, why should people come see your show at SXSW?

We are the most sincere. Like Linus’s pumpkin patch. I really hope the Great Pumpkin makes it to one of our shows.

6.) Start a juicy SXSW rumour.

I will let somebody shave my hair and beard for $500.
