London's Yuck play tonight. They are not, thankfully, yuck.

It’s Wednesday which means official official music start day which means stress and excitement! After a full day of travel Tuesday—from Toronto to Buffalo to Cleveland to Houston—we made it to Austin this morning and are ready for the onslaught. It’s also going to be about thirty degrees celcius so that means early summer for us here today. Sorry. (Not really.) Anyway, here’s an idea of how we’ll be spending our music night after a day of making TV magic (and trying to scam free barbecue) in the sun.

Yuck: 8:15 p.m. at Stubb’s
Two members of this London, England quartet had a deal with XL recordings when they were only in their mid-teens (Daniel Blumberg and Max Bloom were in Cajun Dance Party) so signing to Fat Possum and getting a ton of hype for their self-titled debut ninetines-indie sounding album as Yuck. Get in on that! [NV]

OFF!: 9:50 p.m. at Emo’s Main Room
When you’ve got a band consisting of by Circle Jerks/Black Flag singer Keith Morris, Burning Brides frontman Dimitri Coats, Redd Kross bassist Steven Shane McDonald, and Rocket From The Crypt/Hot Snakes drummer Mario Rubalcaba, it’s hard not to release some of the best music of 2010 and have one of the most anticipated shows of SXSW. We should mosh. [NV]

Bad Brains: 10:40 p.m. at Emo’s Main Room

Um, it’s Bad Brains. We’ve actually never seen them and especially not right after a band like OFF! So, naturally, this is where we’ll be. [NV]

Raphael Saadiq: 11:15 p.m. at Stubb’s
Part of a pretty stacked and diverse bill at Stubb’s tonight, Saadiq is sure to woo with his soul standards between Smith Westerns and Duran Duran (!). NPR will also be streaming this showcase. [TM]

Okkervil River: 12:50 a.m. at Red 7 Patio, or Asobi Seksu: 1 a.m. at The Windish Agency House @ ND
Hometown heroes Okkervil River will play to a crowd in high anticipation of new album I Am Very Far in May, or if that’s too packed, dreamy New York pop band Asobi Seksu play will stuff from their new album Flourescence. [TM]
