Following the release of a 2009’s greatest hits record Monuments and Melodies and a solo album from lead vocalist Brandon Boyd the year after, Incubus are set to put out their seventh studio album sometime later this year.

In a post on their fansite, the band’s manager Steve Rennie revealed that they’ve finished recording the as-yet-untitled album.

“Up until last night I’d only heard individual songs as they were being worked on, never final mixes, and never in sequence. Last night I heard the whole album and all I can say is “WOW”. Like previous records it is nothing like its predecessors. Quintessential Incubus, but like no Incubus record before it. Stay tuned folks the party is about to start. We can’t wait for you to hear it.”

The band’s last studio album, Light Grenades, was released in 2006.
