Death Cab for Cutie reveal details for Codes and Keys

Three years after the release of their sixth studio album Narrow Stairs, Death Cab for Cutie are back with a new album called Codes and Keys, which lead vocalist Ben Gibbard has called a “less guitar-centric” record.

Recently the band announced a release date, tracklist, and album cover (above) for Codes and Keys. A brief North American tour including two Canadian dates in Edmonton at Shaw Conference Centre on May 24 and in Calgary the next day at Stampede Corral have also been announced.

Last week Gibbard performed a solo version of the new record’s title track at the Noise Pop festival in San Francisco. Listen to it below.
