After twenty-three years and numerous albums that led to Grammy and Juno Awards, Sarah McLachlan will be leaving the Vancouver-based Nettwerk Music Group, The Globe and Mail reports.

“Sarah and Nettwerk have had an amazing 23 years with over 30 million sales and we wish her much more success,” CEO and co-founder Terry McBride said.

Both McLachlan and McBride co-founded the Lilith Fair festival, which had its biggest years from 1997 – 1999, however it was canceled last year due to poor ticket sales. The all-female festival is set to return, but no dates have been scheduled yet.

Other Canadian musicians such as Avril Lavigne, Barenaked Ladies, Sum 41, Billy Talent and Chantal Kreviazuk have all previously been with Nettwerk and have since departed. McLachlan is still currently under McBride and is touring in support of last year’s Laws of Illusion.

Last year Nettwerk celebrated its 25th anniversary. Watch our AUX Weekly segment with McBride below.
