LCD Soundsystem call scalpers "parasites"

LCD Soundsystem’s frontman James Murphy might look soft and cuddly, but if you mess with tickets for his band’s upcoming farewell show in New York City, watch out. Apparently some scalpers managed to get their hands on pre-sale ticket for the gig at Madison Square Garden on April 2 and are now charging $1,500 for each ticket.

Murphy exploded on the band’s Twitter page, lashing out at the scalpers by calling them “parasites” and at one point saying “i’m going to go eat dinner and try not to punch a stranger in the face. thanks, everybody.”

Pre-sale tickets sold out within an hour of being available while public ticketing will go on sale this Friday. Here’s his Twitter rant in all its glory:
