Foo Fighters reveal title, tracklist for new album

We’re quite sick of writing about the new Foos record and saying ‘as-yet-untitled,’ so today we’re overcome with joy at the news that the band has finally announced the name of their forthcoming album.

Wasting Light will be Foo Fighters’ seventh studio album and the first since 2007’s Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. It features 11 tracks and will be released on April 12. The video for the track “White Limo” came out yesterday.

We previously reported that this record was being produced by Butch Vig who worked with lead vocalist Dave Grohl on Nirvana’s Nevermind and also features a guest appearance on bass by Grohl’s former bandmate Krist Novoselic. A James Moll-directed documentary is set to come out alongside the album, which chronicles the band’s entire history.
