Dog Day announce new EP and free download of "Scratches"

Halifax-based shoegaze rockers Dog Day have announced the release of The Scratches EP, due out March 22 via Noyes Records. The three song-long 7″ marks the first set of recordings for married couple Seth Smith and Nancy Urich as a newly minted musical duo, as they parted ways with Crystal Thili and Robbie Sheddon last May.
Dog Day will play at the Seahorse in Halifax tomorrow, move on to some Californian dates in early March and then hit SXSW. A full-length album is expected later this spring.
You can download the EP’s title song, “Scratches.” You can also stream other new songs “Part Girl” and “Final Fight” on their MySpace.
