Canadian Music Week Indies nominees announced

The nominees for the 11th annual Independent Music Awards–”The Indies”–were announced today. Nominees include Broken Social Scene for Live Artist/Group of the Year, Shad for Solo Artist of the Year and some band named the Suburbs, whose album The Arcade Fire is nominated for Album of the Year.

Kidding aside, click here for a full list of nominees for the 2011 Indies. The show is set to take place on March 12th at the Royal Fairmont Hotel and will feature performances by nominees Shad, Hollerado, Hannah Georgas as well as US-import Janelle Monae in her first headlining Canadian gig.
