Former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash and Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister are two of the most famous hard rock musicians. And, lucky for you, their legacy will be preserved with replica statutes of them if people in the English city of Stoke have it their way.

According to This is Staffordshire, campaigners in the city have handed in a petition with 318 signatures to have statutes of both musicians erected in the city. The petition is currently being looked at by city council’s economic development overview and scrutiny committee.

Born in London, Slash lived in Stoke till he was 6 while Kilmister was born and raised in Burslem, a town nearby.

“We firmly believe it could be a landmark that is really quite individual and exclusive to the area, and would definitely be a popular attraction for fans of rock music worldwide,” a spokesperson for the campaigners said.

A source from committee has revealed that it would work with the campaigners, however it’s unlikely any funding for the statutes would be available.
