Arcade Fire to perform at the Grammy Awards

The performers for the 53rd annual Grammy Awards were announced early this morning and it looks like Arcade Fire will be making their performance debut at the ceremony.

And it’s about time. Their latest record, The Suburbs, was one of the standout albums of 2010, generating some major genre crossover love. It had the band touring the globe after its release, catapulting them into the position of one of the most well-known alternative rock acts currently active.

The band is also nominated for Album of the Year, Best Rock Performance and Best Alternative Music Album. Others artists performing that night include Eminem, Cee Lo Green, Lady Gaga, Miranda Lambert, and Katy Perry. Additional performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.
