This morning's new music news; Thurston Moore will release a new Beck-produced solo album sometime next year, Sarah Harmer and Gentlemen Reg will tour western Canada in January and Alice Cooper, Neil Diamond and Tom Waits will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame next year.

Sonic Youth member Thurston Moore will release a new solo album called Benediction sometime next year. According to Moore, “[It was] recorded in Southern California at Beck’s home studio, with him producing. Beck sings and plays a little bit on it.” [Philadelphia Weekly]

In support of her latest record Oh Little Fire, Sarah Harmer will be touring western Canada early next year alongside Gentlemen Reg. Starting on January 12 in Victoria, BC, the two will play a bunch of shows on the west coast before slowly making their way east concluding with a gig in Thunder Bay on January 23. [Exclaim!]

And Alice Cooper, Neil Diamond and Tom Waits will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame next year. Dr. John and Darlene Love will also be inducted at the ceremony in New York on March 14. [BBC]
