This morning's new music news; Death Cab For Cutie have announced the title for their upcoming album, The Roots have composed a score for a new film and The Pixies will release their career-spanning best-of compilation album on vinyl this January.

The Roots have composed a score for a new film entitled Night Catches Us, which apparently features an appearance by the band’s own Black Thought. It premiered at this past Sundance Film Festival and received a limited release on December 3. [HipHopDX]

And The Pixies are set to release their career-spanning best-of compilation album Wave of Mutilation on vinyl. The 23-song album will be released as a double LP on January 17. [Exclaim!]
