Towards the end of this story you will follow one more golden rule: don’t fuck with Australians, rather don’t fuck with Australians when they tell you not to smoke.

English band Muse are facing a potential ban from playing gigs in Australia after they disobeyed the rules at a show last week when bassist Christopher Wolstenholme started smoking onstage. Officials at The Rod Laver Arena apparently made it clear to the band prior to their set that the venue had a no-smoking policy.

According the The Sun, Wolstenholme tried to hide his puffing, but eventually stopped caring and openly smoked in-front of the audience and officials.

“They are known as an anti-establishment style of performance group, but it was still sad that they decided to go ahead regardless,” a Rod Laver spokesperson said.

Officials were also angered at the fact the band encouraged fans to mosh during their performance even though it is banned in Australia after a young girl was killed during Limp Bizkit’s set in 2001.

“These guys will never be allowed to perform again in Australia if they try it again,” one promoter said. “Doesn’t matter how hot they are. The law is the law. Promoters won’t get insurance for them, simple as that.”
