Following the announcement that Paramore members Josh and Zac Farro had quit the band last week, the internet was a-Twitter (literally) with questions concerning the events leading up to the breakup, leaving fans to take perspective sides in the wake of what can only be compared to Geri Halliwell leaving the Spice Girls.

However, instead of relying on the official statement to speak on their behalf, the brothers Farro have come forward with a version of their own via Josh’s blog, detailing the alleged trials and tribulations of belonging to Paramore – or what can also be described as “Hayley’s dream”.

Beginning with a sincere apology, the two maintain they wanted “to be honest about how this band formulated from day one”, while revealing they “did not think Hayley’s version told the whole story” – especially since they “had a statement typed ready to post to you guys but Hayley released one without [their] permission”. Yikes.

In their short essay, the Farros elaborate on alleged label manipulation and an unbalanced band dynamic that resulted in tension, frustration and near dismissals, and admitting that touring “has taken a toll” on the Farro clan, which has also lead to the two making their exit. The  moral of the story? Sounds like some people may need good lawyers.
