This morning's new music news; The copy of 'Double Fantasy' owned by Mark David Chapman and signed by John Lennon is up for sale, Coldplay will release a new Christmas song next week and John Legend and The Roots' cover of Arcade Fire's "Wake Up" is available to listen to online.

Mark David Chapman’s autographed copy of Double Fantasy signed by John Lennon is up for sale for $850,000. Lennon signed the copy hours before Chapman shot him outside the Dakota building in New York City. According to the dealer’s listing, “The cover and dust jacket contain forensically enhanced fingerprints of Chapman” and it comes with police reports and a letter from the district attorney. [Exclaim!]

Coldplay will release a new Christmas song next week called “Christmas Lights” via iTunes. It will be available to download on December 1. [NME]

John Legend and The Roots’ studio version of their cover of Arcade Fire’s “Wake Up” is available to listen to online via Soundcloud. The track failed to make it on their latest covers album released this past September.
