This morning's new music news; Young Galaxy will release their third LP in February, Guns N' Roses are reportedly working on a new record and Duran Duran's upcoming album will be available for digital download in December.

Young Galaxy will release their third LP entitled Shapeshifting on February 8 via Paper Bag. The band have cited New Order, the Knife and the Eurythmics as recent influences. Apparently the album “is a thing of cold reverb, hot drums and synth.” [Exclaim!]

Guns N’ Roses guitarist DJ Ashba has revealed the band are in the early stages of writing a new album to follow 2008’s Chinese Democracy. Unlike the last album, Ashba claims this new record won’t take 15 years to make. “We’ve been throwing around a bunch of ideas and it should be good,” he said. “We’ve got a lot of good stuff on the plate coming out. It won’t take as long – I promise.” [Rock it Out!]

And Duran Duran’s new album All You Need Is Now will be available exclusively on iTunes starting December 21. A 12-track physical release will be available in February. The title track, which is the first single, will be released on December 14. [Consequence of Sound]
