Weezer cover Toni Braxton's "Un-Break My Heart"

Last week we reported Weezer would be releasing a rarities compilation album entitled Death To False Metal on November 2. What we didn’t tell you (and what we didn’t know) was that a cover the band recorded, apparently at the suggestion of producer Rick Rubin, of Toni Braxton’s 1996 hit “Un-Break My Heart” will be included in the album. The track was slated to appear on the band’s fifth album Make Believe, but unfortunately failed to make the cut. From listening to the cover (below) it’s preposterous to think this gem failed to make it and a song like “Beverly Hills” did. Just wait for the chorus, it’s powerful.
