This morning's new music news; a new rock opera will open in November based on Black Francis's concept album 'Bluefinger,' Daft Punk have announced the release date for their upcoming 'Tron: Legacy' soundtrack and Grass Widow have released a new music video for "11 of Diamonds."

This November a new rock opera based on Black Francis’s concept album Bluefinger will open in Houston’s Catastrophic Theatre entitled Bluefinger: The Fall and Rise of Herman Brood. Although he was consulted Francis will not be appearing onstage during the opera, which will be performed in the DiverseWorks Artspace from November 12 to December 18. [Exclaim]

Daft Punk will release their Tron: Legacy soundtrack on November 22. The french duo’s first full cinematic score, it was recorded featuring a 100-strong orchestra. [NME]

And San Francisco all female three-piece band Grass Widow have put out a new video for the track “11 of Diamonds” off their recently released debut album Past Time.
