This morning's new music news; The Flaming Lips have released the first volume of a series of new photo books, Johnny Marr will release a solo cover of the single "Tendency To Be Free" and OK Go's latest video received over 1 million views in its first 24 hours.

The Flaming Lips have released the first volume of a series of new photo books called All We Have Is Now, which features pictures shot by frontman Wayne Coyne’s wife J. Michelle Martin-Coyne. According to the band’s website, Volume 1 is a “Limited edition 10″ x 10″ paperback book. Photos feature events such as the annual Halloween March of 1000 Flaming Skeletons, the St Gallen Festival in Zurich, Earth Day concert in Washington DC, the 2009 New Years Eve Concert in Oklahoma City, and many more!” [The Flaming Lips]

Johnny Marr will release a solo single of the track “Tendency To Be Free” by Rabbit Mackay in aid of the British homelessness charity Centrepoint. On October 4 the single and the album it’s featured on 1969 Key to Change, also containing tracks by Hard-Fi and Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly., will be available to download from Fair Share Music. [NME]

And OK Go’s new video for the track “White Knuckles” has been viewed by over 1 million people in its first 24 hours. The band’s latest album is called Of the Blue Colour of the Sky.
