This morning in new music; Stone Temple Pilots' Scott Weiland will release his memoirs in March of next year, Fleet Foxes have finished recording their upcoming sophomore LP and Cancer Bats will be touring Ontario this November with The Chariot.

Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland has announced he will release his memoirs entitled Not Dead & Not For Sale in March of next year. The book was co-written by music biographer David Ritz and will come out in a 224-page hardcover edition. [Brave Worlds]

Fleet Foxes have finished recording their upcoming sophomore album to follow the band’s self-titled debut released in 2008. According to frontman Robin Pecknold, “We are flying to New York tomorrow to mix and master the album and will have information about [the] release date and when you’ll get to hear a song or two soon. Geologically soon but soon.” [NME]

And this November Cancer Bats will be touring their home province of Ontario in support of their latest album Bears, Mayors, Scraps and Bones. They’ll be playing alongside Georgia-based band The Chariot. [Exclaim!]
