This morning's new music news; Neil Young will reunite with Buffalo Springfield for the first time in 42 years this October, Weezer have announced they are already working on the follow-up to the recently released 'Hurley,' and The Dead Weather will put out a fancy new vinyl for the single "Blue Blood Blues."

Neil Young will reunite with his older band Buffalo Springfield for a couple shows this October as part of his annual Bridge School Benefit, a charity event that brings artists together to help Bridge School, which is an organizing that supports kids with severe physical and metal disabilities. This will be the first time the band has performed in 42 years. Pearl Jam, Elvis Costello, Grizzly Bear, Modest Mouse and others are also set to perform. [Exclaim!]

Weezer have announced they have already started working on a new album to follow the recently released Hurley. “We just started working on our 10th record,” lead singer Rivers Cuomo said. “I was talking to the producer and he was saying, ‘These songs sound totally different from Hurley. That was kind of dark and the new songs sound like you’re 16, riding your bicycle to get a Slurpee.'” [NME]

And The Dead Weather will be releasing the single “Blue Blood Blues” on a special kind of vinyl. Jack White has the details in the video below. [Prefix]
