Last year, Buffalo Springfield, a band that would be considered a rock supergroup by today’s terms, reunited at the Bridge School Benefit in Mountain View, California, where original members Neil Young, Stephen Stills, and Richie Furay performed a twelve-song set. Now, longtime band friend David Crosby has revealed the band are set to reunite again this year for a fall tour.

Buffalo Springfield split in 1968 after three albums. They attempted to reunite in the ’80s, but according to Furay, “there just wasn’t a flow.” At last year’s show, the band was joined by drummer Joe Vitale who filled in for the late Dewey Martin and bassist Rick Rosas who replaced the late Bruce Palmer.

“I think it was a very pleasant experience for Neil and Stephen [Stills] both,” Crosby said. “I know they’re going to go out for at least some dates in the fall. Personally, I’d like to go watch. They’re one of my favorite bands. And I’ve got to tell you, I didn’t get to see them live, but I watched clips and Richie [Furay]- I got to tell you man, he is so happy onstage and is such a joyful energy.” [Rolling Stone]
