Listen to Susan Boyle's cover of Lou Reed's "Perfect Day"

Yesterday we posted about Lou Reed making Susan Boyle cry by not allowing her to sing his famous song “Perfect Day” on America’s Got Talent. Though she couldn’t perform it live before a TV audience she has in fact recorded the song for her upcoming sophomore album The Gift, due out November 29.

Idolator has just posted the recorded cover on their website and from hearing it we feel Reed made the right decision not letting his song sound ridiculous on national television.

A statement on Boyle’s website yesterday said, “It is with real disappointment and regret that she has been unable to do so due to unforeseen circumstances relating to the song. Your support is really appreciated by Susan and please be assured every effort was made to try to find a solution. Susan really looks forward to being able to perform her new songs very soon.”
