This morning's new music news; Weezer have signed with independent label Epitaph and will release their next album 'Hurley' in September, The Vaselines' second single off their upcoming album is available for download and Antony and the Johnsons will put out an EP called 'Thank You For Your Love' before they release their upcoming LP Swanlights.

Weezer have signed with Epitaph Records and will release a new album entitled Hurley on September 14. The band was previously signed with Geffen and it has been said that the last couple of Weezer albums were mediocre because the band desired to be under an independent label and needed to fulfill its contract with Geffen before switching. A reissue of the band’s sophomore album Pinkerton is set to come out later this year. [Exclaim!]

The Vaselines’ second studio album called Sex With an X will come out September 14 and pitchfork recently put up the title track, the album’s second single, for download. The band’s only other studio album, Dum Dum, was released back in 1989. [Pitchfork]

And Antony and the Johnsons will release a five-track EP called Thank You For Your Love in anticipation of their next Swanlights LP, set for release on October 12.  The EP will feature covers of Bob Dylan’s “Pressing On,” and John Lennon’s “Imagine.” [twentyfourbit]
