This morning's new music news; Kings of Leon have rescheduled the show they abandoned last month after being pelted with bird droppings, Weezer have hinted at a possible 'Pinkerton' tour in support of the upcoming re-issue and The Orb's forthcoming album will feature Pink Floyd's David Gilmour.

Last month Kings of Leon abandoned a show in St. Louis, Missouri after being pelted with bird droppings and the band has now rescheduled the show. They had only played three songs before they decided to quit the stage after some bird excrement landed in bassist Jared Followill’s mouth. The gig has been rescheduled for September 25. The band’s forthcoming album, Come Around Sundown, will be released on October 19. [Consequence of Sound]

Weezer will release their new album Hurley on September 14 and a re-issue of their sophomore album Pinkerton is soon to follow. In an interview with member Brian Bell, the guitarist revealed a full Pinkerton tour is something the band are considering. “[Weezer] have a reissue of Pinkerton coming out with new packaging, and — I’m praying — a Pinkerton tour, where we’ll play all the songs off Pinkerton, soon.” [Exclaim!]

And English electronic group The Orb have revealed their upcoming album Metallic Spheres, due out October 4, will feature Pink Floyd vocalist and guitarist David Gilmour. [NME]
