This morning's new music news; Daft Punk have provided the score for the upcoming Disney sequel 'Tron: Legacy,' M.I.A.'s latest album is currently streaming on her MySpace page and Shakira will headline the closing ceremonies of the World Cup on Sunday.

Daft Punk have provided the score for the upcoming Disney sequel Tron: Legacy. The Sci-Fi movie is expected to come out December 17 while the soundtrack has been given a November 23 release date. Daft Punk’s last release came in the form of a live album called Alive, released in 2007. [Exclaim!]

M.I.A.’s forthcoming album / \ / \ / \ Y / \ is out next week, but it is currently streaming in its entirety on her MySpace page. This is the English rapper’s third studio album. [myspace]

And Shakira will be headlining the closing ceremonies for the World Cup this Sunday. According to organizing committee spokesperson Jermaine Craig, the show will be much different from the traditional African ceremony that opened the tournament in that it will be “more youthful and a bit more technologically advanced.” [Billboard]
