At a Smashing Pumpkins gig in Florida Wednesday evening, Billy Corgan collapsed onstage while performing the band’s 1995 hit “Bullet With Butterfly Wings” from their double album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. According to ContactMusic, the singer appeared dizzy while playing the track for the sold out Ritz Ybor venue before stumbling and falling to the ground.

Corgan left a statement on his twitter page the following day saying, “For those that saw me fall last night during Bullet, that wasn’t a stage move or clumsiness, that was me blacking out and wiping out. I have no memory of falling against the drum riser and my guitar cabinet, but I can tell you I’ve got quite a good bruise + am moving slow.”

Despite the accident the band will continue their tour of the states, which expires at the end of the month. Songs have been slowly emerging from the Pumpkins’ 44-track album Teargarden by Kaleidoscope, with each song being released individually. Listen to the songs released so far below.
