This morning's new music news: Klaxons have officially announced the title for their upcoming album, Ryan Adams is set to release a couple of previously unreleased albums, including one from Christmas 2005 and La Roux have curated a new compilation album for UK's Renaissance label.

Klaxons have officially announced the title of their forthcoming album, their second. It will be called Surfing the Void and it’s due out August 23 in the UK. The single “Echoes” will be released a week before the album drops. The band’s debut Myths of Near Future came out in 2007 and a little while ago they made available another song off the new album called “Flashover.” [NME]

Singer/songwriter Ryan Adams has revealed he will release some previously unreleased material. One of which is a double album with his backing band The Cardinals called III/IV. A new solo album he refers to as the “Blackhole LP”, which was recorded over Christmas back in 2005 will also be released. Release dates for these albums have not been confirmed. [Pitchfork]

And La Roux have curated a new compilation album for UK’s Renaissance label’s new Sidetracked series. The tracks appearing on the disc were picked by members Elly Jackson and Ben Langmaid based on some of the band’s influences. “A lot of the tracks on here are songs we listened to while making our album set alongside some new stuff we’re into,” Jackson said. The compilation will be released in the UK on July 26. [Exclaim!]
