The guitar that shook the ground at Yonge-Dundas Square this past weekend during Iggy and the Stooges’ performance for NXNE, a Epiphone Les Paul, has been put up for auction with all proceeds going to War Child. The charity works with children in some of the most devastated places to help reduce poverty, provide education and support child rights.

The axe has been signed by all current members of the band including godfather of punk Iggy Pop, guitarist James Williamson, original Stooge drummer Scott Asheton, bassist Mike Watt from Minutemen and long-time saxman Steve Mackay. The original lineup formed in Michigan in 1967 and earlier this year were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Toronto gig was the only Canadian stop on their North American summer tour.

This priceless item will only be up for sale for the next day or so and is available to bid on through ebay. Check out our video highlights (below) of the madness that went on across Toronto this past Saturday.
