Legendary singer/songwriter Willie Nelson recently had to cancel some tour dates because of a torn rotator cuff, but made it to the Late Show with David Letterman last night to perform “Freight Train Boogie.” The track, which has also been covered by the likes of Red Foley, Marty Stuart and John Denver, is off Nelson’s latest album entitled Country Music.

Produced by T-Bone Burnett, the new disc is apparently Nelson’s first all bluegrass album and was released this past April. He’ll be touring all summer leading into the fall in Europe and in the US.
