This morning's new music news; Liam Gallagher is set to make a film about The Beatles, Kele Okereke has announced his first North American tour and Antony and the Johnsons will release their next album following 2009's The Crying Light.

Oasis singer Liam Gallagher is making a movie about one of his former band’s biggest influences, The Beatles. Gallagher has acquired the rights to Richard DiLello’s memoirs of his years as the so called ‘house hippy’ while working at Apple’s press office. The project will officially launch next week at the Cannes film festival. [Daily Mail]

Kele Okereke has announced his first North American tour in support of his upcoming solo album called The Boxer, set for release on June 22. He’ll be playing at Toronto’s Mod Club on July 29, in Ottawa the next night and at this year’s Osheaga Festival in Montreal on July 31. [NME]

Antony and the Johnsons will release the follow up to 2009’s The Crying Light with Swanlights on October 6. A special edition will also be released that includes a 144-page book featuring paintings, collages, photography, and writing by Antony. [Pitchfork]
