In celebration of the re-release of The Rolling Stones’ 1972 album Exile On Main Street, Late night host Jimmy Fallon is having musical acts play tracks off the album all week and yesterday Green Day performed “Rip This Joint.” One of the fastest songs on Exile, Green Day had no trouble giving it their treatment as well as including a sax solo mid song.

Exile On Main Street will be re-released on May 18 and will feature 10 new tracks including “Following the River,” “Dancing in the Light,” “Pass the Wine” and alternate versions of “Soul Survivor” and “Loving Cup.” The album will be released as a CD, 2-LP vinyl, 2-CD deluxe edition and a super deluxe edition that features everything just mentioned and a 64 page photo book, four postcards and a DVD containing scenes from Stones in Exile and Ladies and GentlemenThe Rolling Stones.
