This morning's new music news; The Cribs' Johnny Marr has composed the soundtrack for the upcoming film The Big Bang, the new Flying Lotus LP is currently streaming online and Green Day will re-release American Idiot featuring the cast of their recent Broadway musical.

The Cribs and former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr has composed the soundtrack for the upcoming film The Big Bang. Directed by Tony Kratz and starring Antonio Banderas the flick is scheduled to be released this autumn. “I’ve done new stuff which is kind of atmospheric and almost Warp-like,” Marr said in an interview with NME. “Making the guitar sound electronic. Where other people would have used orchestras I’ve made the same effect using guitars.” [NME]

The new Flying Lotus LP entitled Cosmogramma will come out May 4, but the album is currently available to listen to on the band’s MySpace page. Featuring a collaboration with Thom Yorke, this is the first full length since 2008’s Los Angeles. [Flying Lotus MySpace]

And Green Day will re-release 2004’s  American Idiot featuring the cast of the new Broadway musical based on the album. The disc will also have songs from the band’s latest album 21st Century Breakdown. The musical first opened last year in Berkeley, California and made its Broadway debut earlier this month.
