Black Lips, Of Montreal Set For Basketball Showdown

Black Lips, Of Montreal and several rappers such as Jay Electronica, Sean Price, Jermaine Dupri and Jim Jones are set to play some ball in Converse’s Band of Ballers basketball tournament in Atlanta on May 1st. Black Lips have stepped up by confirming they will donate the $5000 they get from the 3 on 3 tournament to Auditory Verbal Cenre Inc., a non-profit dedicated to rehabilitating deaf children.

To warn opponents of their skill and diligent practice schedule between shows, the band have released a trash talking video featuring all members with their own ‘court names.’ Watch out for singer/guitarist Cole “Crazy Craze the Nightmare Man” Alexander. We’ll see how he matches up against defending champions Jim Jones & The Jones Family featuring former Washington Wizard’s Guard Shammgod Wells.
