The xx Remix Gil Scott-Heron's Latest Album

The xx has announced they will remix legendary ’60s poet Gil Scott-Heron’s latest album released last month I’m New Here. In an interview with BBC 6 Music, XX singer Romy Madley said the remix was orchestrated by the bands producer Jamie Smith. “The remixing side of things is very much Jamie,” she said. “He’s known as Jamie XX so people just write the XX, but I can’t take credit for all the work that he does. But I have heard some of it, and it sounds brilliant.” The remix has no release date, but expect news of when it’s arriving soon. [Exclaim]
