Nirvana On Ice

Today a video of some weasel figure skater going full stretch to the music of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” has surfaced. Suited in cut-off flannel and bandanna, ‘Champion on Ice’ Scott Williams makes a complete mockery of the once anthem for teen angst. A few minutes in the commentator says Williams is displaying “very unusual choreography” and later describes him as “innovative.” The performance is sad and Williams, along with the commentator are laughable at best. Can we even ask if Kurt would be pissed if he saw this? It looks to be from the ’90s, but for it to be kept under the radar for so long shows the owner of the video knew what she/he was doing: wait for people to forget about something and give it new life by releasing it. Am I wrong…Whatever, nevermind.
